Salon Series: Nebraska Invasive Species

March 23, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center.

Invasive animal, insect, and plant species can do harm to native flora and fauna. On March 23, Allison Zach of the NE Invasive Species Program will present on local invasive species, and what you can do to prevent their damage and how to remove them.

A three-week workshop all about improving wildlife and plant habitat where you live. On April 9, Jason “The Birdnerd” will discuss Plants for Birds PRO, showing what native plants are best to attract birds. Beverages and snacks provided.

Bird Banding Demonstration

Alie Mayes and Jason “the Birdnerd” will demonstrate how birds are caught, banded, and released back to the wild. Join this special program to see birds up close and learn how research is helping track bird movements and populations.
